Have you always dreamed of creating something monumental in 3D? Then this workshop in the museum garden is your perfect opportunity!

Inspired by the artwork 1/24 x 23 x 22 ... x 1 by Bert De Leeuw, you will create your own abstract column/totem in one afternoon using Ytong (a light building material made from lime, cement, and sand), wood, rubber, or other insulating materials. Under the guidance of sculptor and museum guide Jelle Michiels, you will develop your own form language and learn about the basic principles of sculpture.

This workshop is part of Art on the Lawn, the summer workshop in the museum garden. All materials are provided; you only need to bring an apron and possibly something to drink/eat. We will gather under the tent in the museum garden.
